Graphic Solutions Division
Based in Black Creek, Georgia, ORAFOL Americas Inc., an ORAFOL Europe GmbH subsidiary since 2006, changed its name from ORACAL USA in a continuous effort to better align the ORAFOL Group of companies.
ORAFOL Americas Inc., Graphic Solutions Division, manufactures premium vinyl graphic films, digital media, laminating films, and reflective products used in the signage, graphics, digital printing, screen printing, and traffic and safety applications. Additionally, ORAFOL Americas markets a wide range of industrial tapes for applications ranging from the solar industry to point of purchase applications. The company’s distribution network spans the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Black Creek facility is one of the most modern of its kind, in the Americas, and ensures both high quality product and rapid turn-over time for delivery. This facility completed an expansion in 2009 that included approximately 160,000 square-feet of additional storage space for finished goods, and close to 50,000 square-feet of ground-floor space for packaging and shipping. In addition to the plant expansion, capital investment in an adhesive coating line and automated roll retrieval system brought the total capital investment project to $20 million.
ORAFOL
Reflective Solutions Division
Based in Avon, CT, ORAFOL Americas Inc., Reflective Solutions Division (formerly Reflexite Corporation) was acquired by ORAFOL Europe GmbH in August 2011. The company supplies a full range of reflective solutions to various industries and applications, including traffic safety, vehicle conspicuity, and high visibility work wear. We are dedicated to saving lives by partnering with our customers to develop reflective solutions that increase visibility and recognition. The product offerings include the ORALITE® brand.
In an effort to keep up with increased demand, in June of 2013, the Avon facility completed an expansion of 58,000 sq ft that included the integration of a conversion facility and additional capital equipment.
ORAFOL
Precision Technology Solutions
The ORAFOL Precision Technology Solutions produces specialty tooling used to manufacture microstructured optical films and plastic lenses. Most of the tooling goes through precision cutting and electroforming processes. These tools are shipped to ORAFOL facilities around the world. The Precision Technology Solutions used to be a part of Reflexite Corporation, which was acquired by ORAFOL in 2011.
In 2012 the ORAFOL Precision Technology Solutions was expanded, increasing the ORAFOL New York state facility from 2.600 m² to over 7.000 m².
The 4.400 m² is housing new machinery and specialized processes to make the tooling used to manufacture specialized microstructures that have a wide variety of uses, including reflective materials, concentrator lenses used to produce electricity from sunlight; and lighting diffusers and brightness films used in computer display applications.
ORAFOL Canada Inc.
The former ORAFOL Reflective Solutions Canada office in Mississauga was in 2013 merged with the ORAFOL business to form ORAFOL Canada. ORAFOL Canada stocks the full range of products covering all of ORAFOL’s three main markets: Graphic Products, Reflective Solutions, and Adhesive Tapes Systems in its 2.230 m² distribution center in Oakville, Ontario.
